Area Logistic Officer

It will rely on strategic industrial and academic partners experts in the maritime industry (laboratories, companies, startups, shipyards, etc.).

Temporary 6-month assignement - Replacement position

 

 

YOUR ROLE 

 

As part of the Reefer Division, your primary mission is to ensure the operational implementation of the logistics budget and the forecasting management of stock and empty Reefer container flows for the assigned geographic area.

 

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

Reporting to the Reefer Logistics Manager, you will contribute to defining the optimal short- and medium-term stock levels of Reefer containers in your area while considering internal ratios. You will also participate in defining and implementing the cost-reduction plan by optimizing expenses and taking necessary corrective actions.

In this capacity, you will monitor and analyze statistics related to the actions undertaken, as well as the logistics performance indicators for the assigned region. You will coordinate logistics operations with local agency contacts and, where applicable, with Regional Offices.

Additionally, you will justify and support operational decisions to various internal (Trade, Logistics, Operations, Sales) and external (agents, partners) stakeholders.

 

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

With a Master’s degree (Master 2) in Logistics, Transport, or Business, you are fluent in English and proficient in IT and office software tools. You have at least three years of experience in logistics, operational management, or flow management, ideally with technical knowledge of Reefer containers.

Your adaptability, responsiveness, and strong interpersonal skills will be key to your success in this role.
