It will rely on strategic industrial and academic partners experts in the maritime industry (laboratories, companies, startups, shipyards, etc.).

 

 

YOUR ROLE

 

Welcome to a dynamic department operating in startup mode! As a CMA CGM+ (CC+) Financial Controller, you will represent the Finance team within the CC+ commercial department. You will be responsible for your Business Unit and act as the key financial partner to operational teams and management, driving profitability and commercial performance of CMA CGM+ products.

 

 

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

Profitability Management and P&L Impact Analysis:

  • Set up CC+ product-specific P&Ls
    • Monitor direct costs.
    • Establish cost standards in collaboration with the Cost Control department.
  • Provide internal stakeholders with insights on the impact of Value-Added Services (VAS) activities on the Shipping P&L.
  • Raise alerts and challenge commercial teams on product performance.
  • Oversee administrative cost allocation tasks, coordinating with internal control and finance teams on relevant topics.

Supporting Operational Managers:

  • Work closely with the department's operational management to assist in steering performance using various analytical approaches, enabling challenges to be made to commercial teams at headquarters and in regional offices.
  • Provide the commercial management team with effective regular reports to support informed decision-making and offer accurate performance insights against budget forecasts.
  • Prepare the annual budget.

Tool Development:

  • Ensure responsiveness and reliability through key tools: in collaboration with developers, oversee the development and maintenance of digital reports.
  • Use these tools to efficiently produce regular monthly performance tracking reports.

 

 

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Education: Master's degree in Finance.
  • Experience: Initial experience as a financial controller or commercial developer (knowledge of KPIs, shipping line organization, and regional setups is an asset).
  • Tools: Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and QlikSense.
  • Skills: Autonomy, agility, and a proactive mindset are crucial for this role, which allows you to express your creativity within a dynamic team.
  • Key Qualities: Strong interpersonal skills, organizational abilities, and a meticulous approach are essential to coordinate the management of this department operating in startup mode.
