The Role:
Within the Group Purchasing Department, as the Handling Equipment Lead Buyer you are in charge of all the steps of the purchasing act. You also are a key player in the continuous improvement of equipment in relation with the prescriber and the main suppliers. You are also in charge of the harmonization of internal processes in your field of expertise, you are involved in the coordination of various stakeholders in order to suggest the most optimized solutions for the Group.
As Port and Terminal Purchaser you will play a major role in the Procurement process by negotiating and purchasing services for our internal customers. You will be responsible for conducting the procurement activities according to the Group’s process, goals and objectives. This role requires strong interactions with internal stakeholders, solid analytical and negotiation skills.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and develop relationships with existing and potential suppliers
• Establish the Port and Terminal annual budget
• Prepare contracts negotiation in collaboration with a cross-functional teams (Line Management, Operations, Cost Control, Legal, local agent representative) to understand their requirements and provide procurement solutions
• Conduct contract negotiations according to the Group Purchasing process
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, service level agreements to ensure best terms and conditions
• Monitor supplier operational performance according to the contractual terms and report deviations
• Conduct market research, stay updated on the industry trends to identify potential risks and opportunities
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through a 360° vision, optimize TCO
• Maintain Procurement performance in our Group SRM

• Excellent communication to establish strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Analytical skills to analyze OPEX through a 360° vision, P&L accounts and financial impact linked to market trend and conditions
• Results oriented with a strong focus on cost reduction and Service Level improvement
• Legal knowledge related to Terminal Service Agreement
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in contracts, pricing, and specifications.
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in business, finance with a specialization in purchasing
• At least 5 years’ experience in a senior purchasing position, ideally in the field of Shipping, Container terminals, Logistics
• Fluent in spoken and written English
