THE ROLE:

 

The Cost Control Department is reinforcing his business partnering though the development of tools and analysis aiming to support the strategic but also the day-to-day business decision making in order to reduce costs and increase the operational margin.


You will protect the interests of the group improving and monitoring the cost efficiency processes at Agency, Region, and Head Office level. You will facilitate the business decision making via the forecasting on cost and developing and implementing methods to improve group operating margin. You will also coordinates Region and HO allowing visibility and complementary vision. 

 


RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

1. Develop and implement methods to improve group operating margin.

  • Ensure implementation of methods to budget, forecast, and analyze OPEX evolution in the Region and HO.
  • Consolidate Regional reporting and strategic material for communication.
  • Share best practice within Regional sites.
  • Follow main projects and initiatives until their achievement. 
  • Perform studies on specific trends and cost natures. 

2. Ensure data consistency and visibility.
3. Support HO Cost Control Management on strategic communications to the HO OPEX Community
4. Participate to benchmark elaboration, follow local revenue increases and application coverage.

5. Other duties may be assigned. 

 


PROFILE & QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Logistics and Transportation. 
  • Shipping or logistic experience is a strong asset. 
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken English and French
  • Strong grasp of Microsoft Office programs like, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Analytical skills: ability to gather, analyze and diverse information skillfully.
  • Communication: ability to speak clearly and write proper English and to write documents and reports to communicate it to departments / management.
  • Interpersonal skills: ability to show team spirit in work and to exhibit sound and accurate judgment if needed. 
  • Managing Performance: ability to organize and prioritize work activities, develop realistic action plans and statements and demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Dependability & Adaptability: ability to complete tasks on time or notify appropriate person with an alternate plan, to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events. 
  • Planning and Organizing: ability to plan and organize the work to reach objectives in a timely manner. 
  • Personality: curious, rigorous, eager to learn
