Financial Market Senior Officer (M/F)

YOUR ROLE:
Reporting to the Head of Market Activities, you will be responsible for preparing, executing and monitoring market transactions, carrying out research mainly for the Finance Department and the Energy Department, and, in support of your manager, taking part in Group projects relating to the major financial asset classes (energy, foreign exchange, fixed income, investments, NeuCP issues, etc.).
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Management of the Group's foreign currency positions and implementation of recurring and one-off hedging of the Group's foreign exchange risk
- In charge of investing the Group's cash: you develop investment strategies based on cash forecasts and internal guidelines.
- Proposing, executing and monitoring financial hedges on commodities (mainly oil, gas and EU ETS).
- In charge of the Group's NeuCP emissions
- Sends the various reports relating to the Group's cash position and its interest rate and foreign exchange positions, as well as reports relating to all the physical and financial products required by the Energy department (Bunker, LNG and carbon quotas).
- Proposals for the management of financial risks, in particular interest rate risk, Group debt and investment diversification
- Developing new relationships with banks and other financial institutions
- Management of requests from various Group departments relating to market finance
- Macro- and micro-economic monitoring for the Finance and Energy Departments
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- You have at least 5 years' higher education, such as a business or engineering school, a master’s degree in finance or management or equivalent. You will have at least 10 years' experience in a bank or corporate trading room.
- You have a good knowledge of financial instruments across all asset classes. Experience of the carbon, oil and gas quota markets and another asset class is essential.
- Your written and spoken English is fluent.
- You have a perfect command of Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel at a very advanced level. You are also able to develop IT tools (VBA or other programming languages, databases). Knowledge of Bloomberg or Eikon tools is essential.
- You have good analytical skills and are able to work completely independently on the assignments given to you. Serious and rigorous, you also enjoy working as part of a team.
