IT Business Controller

THE ROLE:

 

Reporting hierarchically to the Finance department (Senior Manager Management Control SG&A), you will work in business partnering with the Group IT team and with the Finance and IT teams of all the Group's Business Units, to ensure the optimisation of IT costs and support the allocation of IT investments.

 


RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

1. Acting as a Business Partner and promoting Group IT cost optimisation 

  • Understand the issues facing by the BUs and act as a bridge between the BUs' Business Controller and the Group IT vision
  • Working with Group Business Control, the BUs, the subsidiaries and the IT Department, to define a harmonised format and tools for reporting and monitoring IT costs
  • Coordinating the Group IT reporting processes: instructions / timetable / content (KPIs) / tools
  • Coordinating the consolidation of budgets/Actuals/Forecasts for all IT-related entities in the Group, and analysing variances to ensure complete transparency
  • Supporting the business in SG&A optimisation actions and coordinating the follow-up of cost reduction projects, with a proactive approach: proposing cost reduction and cost control initiatives, based on operational productivity KPIs

 

2. Supporting the Business in the development of investment projects  

  • Validate assumptions (correct and complete) of cost/investment and savings for projects presented to the Investment Committee
  • Ensuring that projects, particularly those presented to the IC and COMEX, deliver an accurate financial estimation
  • Monitor the financial performance of projects, applications and services
  • Coordinate the production of look-back analyses

 

3. Calculating and reporting costs by Applications and Services:
Calculating the cost of IT services:

  • Defining and deploying the full costing method by Application/Service/Project (scope/model/tools/training) and monitoring the financial performance of projects, applications and services. Drive the transformation of processes and tools required to achieve the objective
  • Managing re-invoicing: developing and implementing re-invoicing processes between Group entities
  • Monitoring financial flows linked to re-invoicing and ensuring compliance with internal standards

 


PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Degree in finance, accounting or related field
  • Significant experience in management control in the IT sector – around 10 years
  • Proficiency in IT tools: Excel, PPT, QlikView, Qliksense, budget consolidation tools and ideally SAP
  • Advanced skills in financial analysis and reporting
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Good level of English required
  • Autonomous, sense of initiative, analytical mind
  • Participative leadership, ability to engage stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organisational skills, rigour, ability to manage priorities
