International Contracts Counsel (M/F)

THE ROLE : 
 
Reporting to the Head of the Contracts Department within the Contracts and Projects Legal Team, you will be responsible for the preparation, review and negotiation of the Group's large-scale commercial contracts, both in France and internationally, for the Group's various activities and companies. 
 


RESPONSIBILITIES :

 
As a true business partner of the operational staff in the Group's development projects, your main missions and commitments are as follows: 

  • drafting, negotiating and validating all types of commercial contracts (framework contracts, partnership contracts, service provision contracts, acquisition contracts, intermodal transport contracts, logistics contracts, commercial agencies, etc.) ;
  • management of pre-litigation and litigation in conjunction with lawyers ;
  • training and awareness-raising of operational teams on legal issues related to their activity ;
  • advising and supporting management teams in the context of innovative projects ;
  • and, more generally, assisting operational teams and management in their decision-making by identifying and assessing legal risks and formulating proposals and recommendations.

  


PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS :

 

  • With an university education in business law in France, ideally complemented by a Common Law degree abroad (L.L.M US/UK), you have 5 to 8 years experience in a major international industrial group or ideally in a top tier business law firm (lawyer or solicitor), experienced in negotiating significant contractual projects or major external growth operations. 
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English, civil and common law and have a good command of IT tools.
  • Reactive and flexible, you will be able to propose solutions and carry out projects independently, in accordance with the legislation and contractual requirements of the Group and its growth areas.
  • Synthetic, conscientious, very rigorous, organized, you have a developed analytical sense. Sensitive to new technologies, your interpersonal skills (dialogue and negotiation) make you a recognized and legitimate legal expert. Your team spirit, responsiveness, dynamism and adaptability are important assets in the success of the mission within a motivated team committed to the Group's growth.
