YOUR ROLE
As part of the CMA CGM Group's R&D department and reporting to the Manager of the Engines Division, you will contribute to the Group's decarbonisation strategy with your knowledge of marine engines.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?
- Benchmark and investigate all technologies aiming to reduce dual fuel engine emissions
- Assess and calculate engine greenhouse gas emissions
- Create, follow, and concretize onboard pilot projects of emissions and/or engine performance on 2-stroke and 4-stroke dual fuel engines
- Act as an expert in the field of engines at CMA CGM
- Keep a close collaboration with engine designers, manufacturers, shipyard
- Keep an eye on maritime regulations related to engine certification.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?
- Graduated from a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5 years' expérience on conventional (Diesel) and/or Dual Fuel (LNG, Methanol, Ammonia) marine engines
- English is mandatory, French is highly appreciated
- You are rigorous, methodic and autonomous, with good analytic and synthesis skills
- Collaborative and team-building attitude, communication skills (verbal, written and listening), ability to work with all levels of staff and across diverse business areas
Good to have knowledge:
- Two stroke engine assembly, commissioning and test procedures
- Exhaust gas measurements expertise
- Engine maritime regulations (IMO, Fuel EU, EU ETS, MARPOL)
