About the Role: 

 

Reporting to the State Manager NSW, the role is responsible for the effective implementation of services offered to clients that will achieve predetermined targets and budgets for import and export Sales in relation to ANL and CMA CGM in NSW.

 

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

 

  • Undertake a proactive role in the development of sales strategies specifically looking at bringing on new clients and increasing coverage within existing client base
  • Under the direction of the NSW State Manager, provide sales and sales support services to a dedicated portfolio of existing customers
  • Develop products & services and in line with management direction
  • Participate in establishing the Commercial actions plan and ensure the agency sales’ segmentation is correct and up to date
  • Maintain a regular program of customer interaction (scheduled phone calls) as required, to expand and or develop new business in line with targets set by the State Manager
  • Meet and exceed annual target set by State Manager for CMA CGM Group Services and Non-Maritime products (e-commerce, VAS, intermodal, CEVA…)
  • Promote the use of CMA CGM digital tools

 

To be successful in this role, you will need:

 

  • Previous experience of minimum 3 years in the shipping or related industry, preferably in a sales or customer service role
  • Strong proficiency in computer skills especially a strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite tools
  • Good commercial acumen
  • Highly developed communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Self-motivated with ability to plan and co-ordinate workflows and performance effectively and without supervision
  • Commercial and customer-oriented approach
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to liaise with a broad spectrum of people
