Cargo Flow Analyst - Miami, FL

Responsible for:

  • Monitors/analyzes information obtained from agency forecasts, bookings, terminal reports and Baplies. Consolidates figures into service booking report ensuring vessel optimization in TEUS / Tons / Plugs
  • Works in close contact with agents, trade, HO line management, logistics and ops to maximize vessel capacity ensuring best cargo mix
  • Monitor transshipment cargo and ensure approvals are obtained for DG/Reefer/OOG Cargo
  • Identify and proactively implement action plans when omissions/schedule changes occur in concert with operations department, trade and agents
  • Coordinate with logistics the empty repositioning to evacuate and prevent accumulation of empty equipment at depots thus reducing costs and ensuring all types of units are available for local bookings
  • Other duties as assigned

 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:                                                                                                                                                        

  • Bachelor Degree Required
  • Minimum of  3-5 years’ work experience required
  • Proficient computer skills to include all Microsoft applications (Excel, outlook, word) and Internet
  •  Excellent communication skills
  • Review & Analyze data
  • Demonstrate problem solving and analytical skills
  • Accepts responsibility and accountability – Results driven
  • Good Interpersonal skills
  •  Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work extended work hours as needed
  • Ability to work independently
  • Complete and full understanding of internal organization structure; where to find required information from Intermodal, Port Operations, Customer Service and Documentation teams is required;   
  • Bilingual (English, Spanish)

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities, preferred:

  • On Site field – Port Experience of container cargo operations in a Terminal
