Position Summary:

Reporting the Human Resources Manager, the HR Generalist will create, coordinate and implement a wide variety of Human Resource programs and processes to achieve the company goals while contributing to a positive company culture.  

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders in achieving a consistent CMA CGM approach based on the company’s vision, goals and values.
  • Work closely with the hiring Managers to identify staffing needs and recruitment strategy.
  • Involvement in all aspects of the recruitment process for internal and external candidates: job requisitions, job descriptions, sourcing, pre-selection, interviews, selection, background checks and offers.
  • Coordinate onboarding for new employees and internal transfers using inhouse tools, induction, and training programs, with the goal of ensuring a smooth transition and employee success.
  • Participate in the creation and ongoing improvement of HR and payroll processes, policies and programs: Providing guidance and support to the employees.  
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of Federal and Provincial legislation related to labour laws and payroll.
  • Responsible for government required programs such as employment equity, salary equity, Health & Safety, etc
  • Coordinate internal & external training opportunities, following up to ensure training objectives are met
  • Provide HR guidance and support for Performance Review process, Policies, Talent acquisition and Talent development
  • Assist the Human Resources Manager with various projects, reports and analysis
  • Payroll processing & related reporting
  • Benefit administration
  • Administration and employee guidance related to company benefits and pension
  • HRIS system maintenance, data quality, analytics and reports
  • HR Administrative work
  • Assist in Coordinating and promoting employee and sustainability events and activities
  • Other related duties and projects as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

 

CANDIDATES MUST BE LEGALLY AUTHORISED TO WORK IN CANADA

 

  • Education & Experience:
    • University Degree in HR or related field
    • CHRP Certification an asset
    • 2 years’ experience as a Human Resource generalist, with experience in: recruitment, payroll, policies, Federal labour law and coordination of training an asset
  • Other:
    • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, in French and English.
    • Excellent organizational skills with a strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
    • High-level of professionalism and confidentiality related to all activities and information of a strategic or sensitive nature
    • A self-starter and highly motivated,
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Advanced proficiency with MS Office Programs and HRIS
