Trade Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
Responsible for the management and coordination of assigned trade lanes. In conjunction with Trade Manager, the main focus is to develop, implement and monitor pricing strategy for designated trade lanes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for pricing of assigned trade lanes & services
- Maintains and validates Pricing groups in AQUA
- Updates guidelines, tariffs and Austral system; validate SQs and D&D requests, maintains accurate pricing sheets
- Monitors price trends and competition to ensure that CMA CGM policies remain competitive in the market
- Supports, maintains and develops new business as it pertains to VIP Customers
- Develops a very good understanding of the market and of CMA CGM Canada activity/customers
- Works closely with the sales team
- Analyzes performance, on a regular and proactive basis, in order to assess relevance of policy, gaps with targets and propose adjustments in policy
- Prepares reports on market, performance and important facts affecting performance
- Assumes responsibility for ensuring the timely and accurate preparation, collation and distribution of all ‘pricing’ related reporting requirements
- Remains actively involved and fully conversant with all key responsibilities of each staff member within the department.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: University Degree with marketing and/or international commerce

- Shipping Experience
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task time sensitive issues
- Analytical thinker, must be results-oriented
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, French & English
- Ability to work as a team and be self-driven
- Advanced excel skills
