Executive / Senior Executive - Cargo Flow

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting                                        :               Manager Role Summary:

  • The position will report to the Manager – Manage the service independently, close co- ordination & follow up with HO Line, local Trade / commercial team & Operations.

Core Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage individual SERVICES, including analyzing allocations, bookings, and gate control measures.
  • Coordinate with Head Office Lines, Trade, Cargo Flow, Ship Managers, and the India Commercial & Ops team.
  • Prepare HUB reports for inbound cargo that is idle at major transshipment ports.
  • Send booking requests to third-party feeder operators and follow up to secure space protection.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to transshipments.
  • Request the SSC 3PF team to create Lara voyages for third-party feeders.
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Service - wise : -

  • Review CR reports daily in relation to vessel allocations for CMA/ANL and third-party loadings.
  • Verify INYARD figures each day to ensure optimal use of the allocated line.
  • Prepare vessel utilization reports.
  • Communicate with port operations to receive daily updates on in-yard activities and allocation variations.

Special Task:-

  • Preparing Management Presentations & Reports
  • Preparing Terminal Reports

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Achieve 98% accuracy in vessel allocations compared to actual cargo loaded, with accuracy reviewed on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure at least 90% utilization of allocated capacity, measured and reported monthly.
  • Fulfill 100% of booking requests in a timely manner, with fulfillment rates tracked and analyzed monthly.
  • Maintain an average in-yard turnaround time of 24 hours for cargo, with performance monitored weekly.
  • Submit HUB and Terminal Reports 100% on time, with adherence to deadlines verified by submission dates
  • Proficient in MS Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of experience in the shipping industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive and self-motivated.
  • Excellent analytical abilities.
  • Effective team player.
