Position Summary:

 

Answer incoming calls, provide excellent customer service, and deliver timely information and effective solutions to our customers.

 

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

 

  • Answer incoming calls.
  • Ensure a high level of customer service is provided.
  • Research and follow up on customer issues regarding import shipments.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and overseas agents.
  • Process diversion requests.
  • Process rate disputes.
  • Answer incoming emails from internal and external customers.
  • Process tracking and tracing reports as needed.
  • Maintain the idle report.
  • Contact customers in regards to hazardous issues and claims.
  • Must be able to work Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. 
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

 

  • Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft applications Excel, Word, etc.
  • Exceptional customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management and problem solving skills; with strong emphasis on attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with LARA, MIRA, Internet, E-mail, and DIVA.

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

 

  • College Degree and/or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in the Shipping Industry, including but not limited to U.S Customs, Logistics, import documentation, and rates.
