Position Summary:
Direct and oversee truck, barge, and rail operations in North America in relation to cost management and service delivery for CMA CGM (America) LLC, Delmas and any other CMA CGM Subsidiary as necessary.. This position will interact with other departments within the Logistics group and other business units as needed to ensure service levels are identified and maintained
Essential Duties / Responsibilities:
- Maintain truck door delivery/pickup and rail billing service delivery levels that meet or exceed customer requirements
- Set and maintain standards and policies for truck, rail and barge operations
- Oversee staff and ensure adherence to policies and procedures
- In conjunction with Procurement, develop a network of cost effective motor-carrier vendors for the movement of import and export cargo.
- Establish and implement processes and policies to ensure cargo moves in the most cost effective and timely manner possible. Strive for zero port or rail demurrage on door delivery freight, and develop daily processes to ensure same.
- Develop and implement cost savings initiatives and cost controls for all Intermodal Operations, with specific focus on one way door delivery and round trip loaded Matchback truck savings.
- Develop and implement daily communication processes for truck, rail, and barge service related issues with internal business units.
- Manage the Intermodal Logistics Analysis group to ensure that current and proper rail and truck rates and information is provided to the required internal groups as needed.
- Manage the Export Cargo Management group to ensure that proper export vessel load out and efficiency is maintained.

Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- 15+ years general work experience; 5+ years of industry experience.
- Thorough knowledge of Intermodal Operations with a minimum of ten years shipping experience and 5 years in a management capacity required
