Customer Service Officer

YOUR ROLE
Reporting directly to the Customer Care Manager, you will be responsible for supporting all activities related to documentation and performing customer service missions.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?
Export Documentation : from booking requests, creation and tracking of Bill of Lading (BLs), to shipment confirmation to customers. - Import Documentation: preparation and control of import documents (arrival notices, invoicing, BLs...) - Customer care services: Handling and monitoring customer requests - Export Service Delivery: Receiving and verifying shipping instructions (issuing and sending BL, pre-deposit, customs declaration, BL release) - Cargo Readiness: Forecasting, preparation of container type lists, loading list
Reservation: Make reservations, confirm with the customer, and ensure the registration of customer information, following Group commercial requirements and company rules for customer satisfaction.
Cargo Readiness: Ensure cargo is ready on time for loading by monitoring export shipments with customers. Focus on CMA CGM (Group) cargo on export stops for local POL cargo
Documentation: Ensure timely local and international customs declarations, perform pre-billing checks, and complete all documentary transactions not transferred to GBS while complying with the Group's legal standards to continuously achieve customer satisfaction.
Invoicing: Perform Autofreighting, auditing, and ensure timely issuance of accurate invoices to clients. Responsible for tracking unbilled freight amounts (NIF) and amounts to be invoiced (TBI) while adhering to all Group processes and requirements.
Counter: Perform BL and Cargo Release after cross-verification of documentation authenticity and complete payment confirmation for clients, strictly adhering to group processes and local legal requirements.Any missions, projects where the service would need your support.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?:
- Preferably a bachelor’s degree in business, transportation, or logistics
- Significant experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills.
- Strong communication skills
- Team spirit and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Autonomy, organization, attention to detail, and proactivity.
- Bilingual French/English.
