VIE Commercial Coordinator (M/F) - CMA CGM Suriname

THE ROLE:  

 

As a commercial coordinator, you will have to generate sales with active customers and develop opportunities with new and potential customers within assigned area.

You will sell products and services related to it, while promoting CMA CGM´s image and values.

You will report to the Director of the Agency and contribute to the development of CMA CGM services in the region.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Commercial Activity

  • Identify the commercial market opportunities and Prospect and follow up on the customers in order to develop and monitor the customer’s portfolio. 
  • Identify and develop potential business customers.                                                                                                                                                                                  
  • Sell the Group Product and services and advise customers on specific transport modalities (Reefer, Out of Gauge…) in compliance with the pricing policy.
  • Receive, qualify in priority customers’ requests, in function of their strategic importance, and process their request.                                          
  • Follow up the Budget on weekly basis to direct the efforts whenever necessary. 
  • Perform the quantity of visits defined by your manager and update the system accordingly. 
  • Present to the Agency Manager the visits planning during the commercial meeting held weekly and insert in CRM the same information. 
  • Contact by phone and email customers for spot business, exceptions and lines campaigns. 
  • Receive and follow up the Lost Business report from inside sales (on weekly basis). Actively participate on the actions taken by the inside sales. 
  • Monitor and update the Vessel Profile based on the development of the portfolio (monthly basis), whenever necessary. 

 

Customer Relationship

  • Assist finance team on solving disputes, whenever required.                                                                                                                                                                
  • Closely follow up the portfolio managed, maintaining a good relationship with the customers through regular visits and phone calls.            
  • Plan and conduct commercial visit according to the commercial action plan and produce visit report along with customer follow up.                   
  • Ensure follow up on her/his customers portfolio payment and contribute to recover unpaid debt identified as a priority by finance department. 
  • Participate in commercial events and develop a professional network within her/his commercial area. 
  • Manage communication on service failures. 
  • Analyze and take actions on the Customer Performance Statistics.

 

Follow up of commercial activities and reports

  • Participate in establishing the Commercial action plan and Ensure the right customer's segmentation is selected in her/his area.                   
  • Coordinate her/ his actions with the Agency Commercial Inside in priority about customer and market knowledge including sales leads, communication and follow up whenever required.
  • Quote tariff guidelines when relevant. 
  • Follow up customer’s feedback on quotation and update the agency manager and pricing team.
  • Follow up KPIs, prepare reports, and take corrective actions for commercial activities whenever is necessary.

PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • According to French law, the VIE is only open to European nationals aged between 18 and 28.
  • You have a postgraduate degree (+5 years) in Business, Management or Logistics as well as over 2 years of professional experience in maritime activities, business development, or communication projects.
  • You are a quick learner, not afraid of multi-tasking, and proactive. 
  • You possess analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • You are a team-player. 
  • You are customer oriented.
  • You speak fluent English; you are proficient in computer tools and you have a good command of IT tools.
