Junior general Accountant

This job is based in Paris for the MEDIA BU of BFM / RMC Group.

 

YOUR ROLE :

 

Within RMC-BFM's finance department, the position reports to the Accounting Manager.
 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO? 

 

Auxiliary accounting (AP / AR) : 
- Supplier invoice posting
- Customer invoice issue 
- Record accounting data
- Check, record and validate invoices in the sub-ledger as soon as they are received.
- Ensure correct transfer of invoices to the accounting system
- Operational management of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable (analysis of accounts, justification of balances and implementation of corrective actions)
- Identify and record bad debts and clear supplier arrears in the accounting IS
- Identify, record and reconcile customer payments
- Prepare payment batches
- Maintain and update customer and supplier data in the systems
- Launch queries on unreconciled items from the accounting IS and submit a summary of these items to his/her superiors
- All other tasks related to the accounts payable/customer department
- Key contact for all operational matters
 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 

 

- Training: Minimum 2 years' higher education in accounting, management or a similar field.
- Experience: 2 years' experience in a similar position in an accounting department or public accounting firm. Knowledge of media specificities (Barter, Volume Incentive, merchandise exchange, regis scheme, etc.) is a plus.
- Technical skills: proficiency in office automation tools and SAP.
- Other skills required: In addition to the skills expected for this type of position (rigor, autonomy, listening skills and team spirit), dynamism, pragmatism and good interpersonal skills with operational staff are key assets for success in this position. Your team spirit, organizational and methodological skills, as well as your interpersonal skills, will enable you to successfully carry out the tasks entrusted to you.
