CMA CGM Holland is looking for a HR Director Benelux to join its HR team. 

 

ABOUT THE ROLE
Within the framework of the Group HR policy, the mission is to support the agency to deliver strategy and business results by designing, developing, and implementing HR practices & solutions that meet current and future business needs including staffing, training, performance management, succession, people development, compensation management. You will lead both HR teams in Belgium and Netherlands in the joint efforts of the pursuit of excellence within the CMA CGM Benelux Cluster.

 

The key responsibilities of the HR Director Benelux are as such :

Definition and realization of the HR action plan to business needs:

  • Aligns the HR strategy and programs on the particular business strategy 
  • Acts as integral part of decision making, as business partner with HR Solutions 
  • Participates in the Operations Management Committee as a decision making partner in the business strategy
  • Ensures coherence & efficiency in the implementation of the HR action plan
  • Acts as a consultant in HR matters for the top management, departments heads and affiliates GM
  • Develops, leads and facilitates projects and programs consistent with corporate Organizational Development strategies and business plans

 

Recruitment and Staffing Management:

  • Develop, define and cascade sourcing strategy by evaluating the most appropriate recruitment tool such as internal job posting, internet posting, outsourcing agency and head hunters for candidates depending on the level of the position. Control and define recruitment Budget
  • Provide strategy and policy for all recruitment types: internal mobility / external recruitment / JUMP / interns / trainee programs
  • Develop employer branding strategy for all entities under him/her scope
  • Supervises the recruitment and interview process of the whole agency as well as SLA (time responsible), and flow of approval
  • Conducts selection interviews for top management and coordinates assessments processes when needed  
  • Manages headcount approved by the GM/HO, and approves temporary workers when needed
  • Control HC/FTE evolution as well as follow up operation productivity to all entities

 

Team Management:

  • Performance management including performance reviews and development plans
  • Ensures team development and support them in all their needs
  • Provides feedback and promote team development
  • Gives direction to individual and collective work regularly to generate motivation
  • Cascade high level information to the Team, drives and align team priorities


Training, Development & Performance Management: 

  • Define T&D strategy in line with business needs, as well as budget management
  • Oversee the annual management cycle for the full organization 
  • Monitors the performance reviews with quarterly checkpoints
  • Perform Talent reviews sessions & succession planning together with managers , in order to identify high potential employee, low performers, succession pipeline, internal mobility pipeline local and global and provide programs to improve performance, develop talents and successors, and endure people are continuously improving their skills
  • Provide Development Plan campaigns and push organization to create IDPs
  • Provide support to the organization and raise awareness about the need of the performance review process
  • Raise training needs, define training strategy involving: Methods, types, internal and external trainers, partnership with schools and consultants , school allowances, scholarships, and look continuously for the best practices of the market
  • Prepare annual training program plan and follow it up to assure accomplishment 
  • Providing training and development initiatives according to people needs, and plans to develop competencies needed for job mastery and overall performance
  • Collaborates with management to define, assess, recommend and drive improvement of learning, training  and development tools, programs and processes

 

Compensation, Benefits & Payroll:

  • Manages Compensation Policy and internal equity in accordance with GM to ensure fair and equitable compensation package  
  • Organizes salary and benefits surveys to benchmark internal and external working market global package
  • Negotiates annual contract for benefits with insurances companies
  • Evaluates the right salary offer to new employees
  • Administrates the bonus incentive compensation plan and incentive pay criteria
  • Is in charge of the  Company employee benefits such as health insurance, life insurance, food coupons, among others, administration and negotiation 
  • Organizes the process of the annual salary review and internal promotion
  • Payroll direction to the whole agency

 

Internal Communication & Work Environment:

  • Coordinates the Employee Engagement Survey in accordance to corporate timing  
  • Proposes and develops an action plan in order to improve or maintain good work environment and employees satisfaction
  • Organizes different events to create and maintain personnel motivation and productivity and to contribute to good working environment 
  • Provide internal communication plan together with Marketing, related to people actions

 

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Preferably Bachelor’s degree in HR or Business Administration & related.
  • At minimum 3 years’ experience as Human Resources Manager.
  • Proven experience with Dutch Work Council.
  • Excellent knowledge of English and Dutch is required.
  • Knowledge of French is an advantage.
