Intermodal Manager

Acts as an Expert on Pre- and On – carriage. Coordinates logistic needs and requirements.

Ensures that all Sales staff is familiar with Carrier Haulage strategy and is well trained to sell the entire hinterland network.

    1. General
    • Develop an intermodal business plan which is aligned with NL sales plan and overall trade objectives
    • Create visibility of intermodal network within Benelux and Germany
    • Update quarterly flyers and distribute internal and external
    • Drive Carrier Haulage campaigns and monitor performance
    • Awareness and admin of all MICH deals
    • Investigate new depots/inland terminals/intermodal concepts
    • Follow up on intermodal sales leads

    1. Pricing
    • Coordinate price setting drop off/pick up fees at inland terminals
    • Join vendor meetings in Netherlands/visibility of cost structure

    1. Reporting & Analysis
    • Weekly equipment forecast & utilization per depot
    • Carrier Haulage analysis
    • Key entry point for non-conformance analysis and follow up (transport & equipment)
    • Administration and follow up of waiting hours and additional costs
    • Identify CH/MH customers which deliver empties at inland terminals and action
    • Support design of own KPIs and help with translation of KPIs brought in by customers

    1. Meetings
    • Visit intermodal teams Marseille
    • Visit inland terminals every quarter (gather intel on customers and network developments)
    • Presentations to sales team on intermodal opportunities
    • Monthly meetings with ILS

  • Fluent in Dutch and English, French is a preference
  • Knowledge of MS Office software, CRM software and relevant CMA-CGM systems.
  • Driver’s license
