We are looking for temporary extra staff until the end of the year to help set-up and build it's Trade Management department, in the Commercial pillar.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Agency Trade Analyst, you are part of the CMA CGM’s local trade team, assisting with all trade related tasks. You will work closely with your Trade Manager to ensure the volume and contribution budget is met for you particular trade. By daily reviewing our vessel optimization, you will steer local sales activities and will set sales targets that are in line with the overall trade objectives set by Trade Management in Marseille. You will also be tasked with ensuring our pricing is up to date and competitive while maintaining a healthy cargo mix that safeguards our contribution targets.
The key responsibilities of the Agency Trade Analyst are divided as such:
- Focus purely on Trade related responsibilities within the scope of the trade
- Assist the Agency Trade Manager with managing the Trade which applies for export, import and X-trade
- Support the HO Trade team to meet/ exceed trade budget and develop annual trade business plan
- Daily analysis and optimization vessel allocations (incl. reefer plugs)
- Coordinate allocation adjustments with Cargo Flow and BNLX Sales
- Build vessel profile per service and daily compare versus actuals to track missing shippers. Findings need to be actioned to sales
- Assist with setting customer specific allocations as per contract agreement
- Assist in creating pricing guidelines to BNLX sales for all trades
- Use iPrice tool for insight on business requests and quote analysis
- Coordinate with Line Management to ensure that provided guidelines are competitive and clear & Initiate follow up on MyPrice quote requests and ensure competitiveness of MyPrice quotes
- Fill out local tenders while coordinating with HO and Account Manager
- Recommend service improvement through market studies
- Contribute to weekly Stat of the Trade report
- Daily review and discuss utilizations and define short term actions
- Attend conference calls with HO Marseille
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Degree in business administration, logistics, and-or related areas
- Fluency in Dutch and English, French is a preference
- Knowledge of MS Office software, CRM software and relevant CMA-CGM systems.
- Good communication skills (oral & written)
- Customer focused and result driven
- Good decision quality and problem solving skills
- Negotiation skills, able to close sales
- Analytical skills
- Sufficient CMA-CGM product knowledge
