About the Role:

 

Reporting to the State Manager – NSW, the Sales Support Representative will be responsible to the State Manager for the effective implementation of services offered to clients that will achieve predetermined targets and budgets for import and export Sales in relation to ANL & CMA CGM.

 

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

 

  • Manage a dedicated portfolio of ANL & CMA CGM customers, providing sales and sales support services to them, and assisting to ensure agreed targets for those customers are achieved
  • Support sales executives in their day to day business activities, including administrative desktop tasks, rate negotiations, quoting, CDVA and statistical reports
  • Undertake a proactive role in the development of unassigned customer enquiries to convert to new business in the NSW sales team
  • In conjunction with the regional sales teams, create and exploit opportunities to increase the volume and profitability of cargo carried for the ANL & CMA CGM group
  • Compilation of weekly and ad hoc statistics for analysis purposes, including performance reports and account monitoring

 

To be successful in this role, you will need:

 

  • 2-3 years of experience in the shipping and/or freight forwarding and/or the logistics industry or in a customer service role would be advantageous
  • Proficiency in computer skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to liaise with a broad spectrum of people
  • Sound relationship building skills
  • Commercial and customer oriented approach
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills 
  • Highly organised and self-motivated with ability to plan and coordinate workflows
