Accounts Executive

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team of CMA Ships, a fully-owned subsidiary of CMA CGM with the objective to manage all fleet and seafaring related responsibilities. 

 

As an Accounts Executive, you will be responsible for various accounting activities within CMA ships. This includes full scope of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial transactions, maintaining vendor relations and providing support to financial analysis and reports.

 

To excel in this role, you should possess the ability to work autonomously and align with overseas stakeholders.
 
Your main responsibilities are, but not limited to:

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes while ensuring accuracy and adherance with company policies.
  • Prompt communication with banks for payroll inquiries. 
  • Prepare forecast reports for management review. 
  • Monitor vendors accounts to ensure prompt invoice payments. 
  • Coordinate with vendors and banks to resolve discrepancies or issues.
  • Oversee cash flow and perform month end bank reconciliations.
  • Conduct financial analysis upon request

 

We are looking for a strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to join our dynamic team!

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting
  • At least 5 years of accounting experience in shipping industry
  • Good knowledge of accounting systems, worked in an ERP environment would be advantageous
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Excel) vlookup and pivot table.  
  • Knowledge with Power BI/ Query would be advantegous
