Summary
Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Associate, CEO Office will play a pivotal supporting role in running organisation-wide cadences, managing special projects, and ensuring smooth operations within the CEO Office. This role requires a highly organized, proactive, and discreet individual who can handle confidential information and navigate a wide range of topics with intellectual curiosity and agility.


This role also offers a unique opportunity to interact with the highest levels of leadership in the company, gain a good vantage view of the business and organisation and support strategic decisions through analyses and project orchestration. 

 

Responsibilities
Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct research on macroeconomics, geopolitical trends, and their impact on business and trade flows
  • Gather information from academics, institutions, government bodies and various departments within CMA CGM to support strategic decision-making 
     

Communication and Presentation:

  • Prepare regular written reports and project-based presentations (word, ppt, excel) for senior stakeholders, ensuring exacting standards
  • Prepare talking points, presentations for the external engagements of senior stakeholders, ensuring that they are well-prepared
     

Project Management:

  • Coordinate the agenda and content for organisation-wide cadences including but not limited to weekly leadership and cross-functional business meetings, quarterly offsite business reviews, and half-yearly strategic seminars
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure that accurate and relevant data is presented at the relevant cadence 
     

Special Projects:

  • Collaborate with the Chief of Staff and CEO, drive projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to timelines and action from relevant stakeholders 
  • Support organizational-wide transformation initiatives that are highly cross-functional in nature 

 

Requirements
•    Bachelor's degree in any field, from leading universities
•    1-3 years of relevant experience preferred, including in research, analysis, and project management. Experience in shipping and logistics will be a huge plus but not necessary
•    Fresh graduates who are highly driven, and stellar internship track records are welcome to apply
•    Strong communication skills: Both written and verbal
•    Integrity and confidentiality: High level of maturity and discretion in handling confidential information and use privileged access responsibly 
•    Intellectual curiosity: Fast learner, enjoys picking up new topics and challenges, able to connect the dots to add value through analyses that influence decisions 
•    Not daunted by ambiguity: Enjoys navigating ambiguity, gets a kick out of replacing chaos with structure
•    Low on ego and high on character: Willing to roll up sleeves and handle tasks at all levels 
•    Independent, driven, reliable team player
