Commercial Line Manager - Asia to West Africa

Summary:
The Commercial manager is responsible for leading all Commercial, Sales, and Trade-related activities across Asia to the West Africa region.
The role supports both the Asian Regional Director and Marseille-based Line Management, ensuring alignment with group objectives and maximizing regional commercial performance.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Agency Network Management
- Lead Westbound sales across core services to drive vessel utilization from Asia to West-Africa.
- Direct and support sales agents across Asia to pursue profitable cargo opportunities and enhance customer engagement.
- Ensure agency network performance meets set targets; monitor compliance with internal sales processes and reporting standards.
- Coordinate regional communication to align network with HO’s strategy and African-bound FOB sales development.
- Produce regular sales and marketing reports to support data-driven decision-making.
2. Trade & Pricing Strategy
- Manage space allocation to maximize utilization and yield.
- Provide recommendations for pricing strategy, based on market trends and benchmarking.
- Oversee tender responses and pricing inquiries, ensuring process compliance across relevant teams.
- Develop and implement space protection plans in alignment with commercial objectives.
- Drive performance of China cluster personal based in Shanghai and Guangzhou.
- Contribute to annual budget planning.
3. Commercial Development & Strategic Accounts
- Strengthen relationships with strategic customers to boost volume contribution from Asia.
- Cultivate and maintain key customer accounts and represent CMA in strategic engagements across Asia. (Business trip / Key customer event/ QBR)
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in logistic, supply chain, or a related field
- Proven experience of minimal 5 years in logistics industry
- Good understanding on container shipping trade dynamic and experience in Africa Trade will be an advantage
