Compensation & Benefits Manager - APAC

Summary:
As the expert in Compensation and Benefits, you will be responsible in leading, coordinating, designing and engaging the Asia Pacific region Total Rewards for CMA CGM Group. In addition, you will be coordinating, harmonizing, and implementing the Compensation and Benefits policy within your scope and providing advisory support to operational teams at the regional level, aligning the best practices with our Head Office. Finally, you will be supporting and collaborating with the Compensation and Benefits team of the Shipping Division for implementation and updating reporting purposes.

 

Responsibilities: 
Within the Shipping division

  • As the expert on C&B within APAC, this role will control, monitor and support compensation and benefits activities for 20 countries
  • Liaising with the country HR teams, provide expert advise and assistance on benefits and market data benchmarking for compensation
  • Design, align and implement compensation frameworks and ensure the organization is optimally placed for C&B in the market
  • Work proactively as part of a larger C&B Global team to participate in projects and global alignment for C&B
  • Develop and maintain automated tools/dashboards on Compensation and Benefits data for the Shipping division
  • Build and communicate compensation benchmarks
  • Contribute to the development of the Compensation and Benefits policy in line with Group rules, then evaluate and coordinate the actions to implement
  • Monitor C&B practices and market developments to anticipate HR impacts on our subsidiaries
  • Collaborate with the HRIS team and local HR contacts to ensure the quality of data in our HR information system

 
Within Business Units

  • Ensure external competitiveness of the Compensation and Benefits structure and internal equity through analysis and monitoring tools
  • Manage the renewal of health insurance and welfare contracts in your geographical scope of responsibility
  • Contribute to build budget and monitor the Group's salary review process
  • Advise various stakeholders in APAC on Compensation and Benefits decision-making
  • Ensure alignment of local practices with Group strategy, identify associated risks, and provide solutions

 

Requirements: 

  • At least 5-8 years of experience in compensation and benefits within a large international group or specialized firm
  • Proficiency in finance and a strong understanding of HR practices 
  • Reporting tool skills (Qliksense, Power BI, other dashboard building, etc.)
  • Demonstrates rigor, methodical approach, organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, diplomacy, ability to build consensus, and work effectively as a team player
  • Comfort with handling numerical data, excellent proficiency in computer tools especially in Microsoft Excel
