HR Trainee (Rotation)

Summary
Reporting to the HR Operations Manager, the Human Resource (HR) Trainee be part of an exciting 24-month structured development opportunity that will offers you a hands-on rotational assignment across different HR Specialist functions, providing you with an immersive learning experience and a holistic view of the business across the Shipping Division. 

 

Key responsibilities:
HR Operations support (50%):
HR Internal Communication

  • Research, developing, drafting, editing, publication and distribution of HR & Admin internal communications and announcement
  • Identify the best channels and create the relevant strategy to send the right message, at the right time, in the most impactful way to keep employees informed and engaged
  • Arrange for photography for employees’ wellness activities, trainings, and special HR events

 

HR Policies, Procedures and Administrations

  • Developing, updating, implementing HR policies, procedures and programs to support the organization's overall business objectives
  • Monitor policy effectiveness and update from all publishing channels
  • Support HR administrative activities related to employee life cycle and day-to day activities
  • Assist in the preparation of HR reports, presentations, and other relevant documentation
  • Stay updated on HR best practices and industry trends to contribute fresh ideas and suggestions

 

HR Projects

  • Support for HR projects and initiatives
  • Research into market best practices for employee engagement, wellbeing, DEI etc and recommend solutions to various teams

 

Rotational Assignments (50%)

  • 3-4 months rotation across each HR function: People development/ Talent Management, Compen-sation & Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Business Partnering, Regional APAC team
  • Collaborate with team members across different HR functions to gain exposure and experience in different areas
  • Support assignment as directed by HR leadership from each HR function

 

What Happens After the Completion?
Upon successful completion of the 24-months assignment, you will be assigned a permanent role within the HR department considering business requirements and your career development.

 

Requirement:

  • This opportunity is open to all degree graduates from Human resources or psychology studies, having less than two years of work experience
  • Passion to develop a long-term career in the Maritime industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Possess strong intellectual curiosity and learning agility
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Proactive and adaptable mindset with a strong desire to learn, grow and take on challenges
  • Proficient in the English language, both verbal and written
  • Innovative and resourceful with a passion for people
  • Excellent learning ability with an open mind and willingness to grow
