Head of Communication & Sustainability (APAC)

Reporting to the CEO of Asia Pacific (APAC), the Head of Communication (APAC) plays an integral role within the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) in the strategic design, management and implementation of online & offline communications strategies, promoting our CMA CGM brand equity and value proposition within the APAC region.
Leading a team of direct and indirect reports in the region, you will also be responsible for crisis communications as well as designing and building CSR initiatives across the region aligned to CMA CGM Group Sustainability Pillars (People, Planet & Fair Trade).
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the strategic design, implementation and management a range of on-line and off-line communication strategies targeting media and industry engagement, to promote CMA CGM branding and value proposition
- Develop annual Communication Strategies in line with commercial department plans, with active collaboration with the CEO and SLT
- Be fully responsible for Crisis Communication within the region.
- Enhance the internal and external communications of CMA CGM initiatives to improve employee, customers and media communication to manage and grow the company's presence on social media and other digital outlets.
- Define and implement sustainable development strategies through the support of new partnerships & programs, incubation of projects, etc. aligned to CMA CGM Group Sustainability Pillars (People, Planet & Fair Trade)
- Design and build CSR initiatives across the region aligned to our company values and goals
Requirements
- Bachelor or Masters degree in Marketing, Communications, Commerce or equivalent
- At least 8-10 years’ experience in a similar role developing corporate communication strategies and leading corporate communications function; regional experience required and global experience a plus
- Strong Ability to digest information quickly, evaluating corporate developments with an eye toward translating their strategic relevance to key constituents, the marketplace, and employees, across a broad range of media
- Strong leadership and influencing skills; outstanding interpersonal and team collaboration skills with marketing leaders
- End to end management of effective communications programs (internal, executive/business, media relations, public relations) in a dynamic, high-growth B2B environment
- Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects at one time with high attention to detail
- Ability to thrive under pressure, addressing the needs of multiple stakeholders simultaneously and a trusted and effective counsel to these executives
- Comfortable working in a matrixed global organisation with high cultural diversity
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, desktop publishing and other tools
- Experienced in graphic design, website design and CMS - ability to use social media channels effectively to deliver
- Self-driven and results focused
