IT Business Engagement Lead/Manager, APAC

IT Business Engagement Lead/Manager, APAC

 

Main Responsibilities:

                                

  • Act as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for business leaders, department heads, and stakeholders, understanding their requirements and translating them into IT initiatives and projects focusing on IT value creations.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the organization's business processes, operations, and goals to provide strategic guidance and identify areas where technology can drive improvements and add value.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define and prioritize IT projects and initiatives based on the organization's strategic objectives.

  • Conduct regular meetings and workshops with business units to gather feedback, address concerns, and ensure alignment between IT and business teams. Ensure business requirements are translated and documented into Functional Specifications.
  • Manage the IT portfolio by evaluating, selecting, and prioritizing projects based on their potential impact, risks, and resource requirements.
  • Learn new global, regional, or local solutions/initiatives and engage business teams to identify use cases to adopt, re-use or adapt existing solutions whenever possible.
  • Perform analysis and work with Solution Delivery (Digital & Innovation) teams to conceptualize IT solution, and ensure projects are executed successfully and delivered to address business needs.
  • Perform functional testing during SIT and facilitate UAT with business teams.
  • Lead review sessions with IT leadership committee to receive required approvals.
  • Actively participate in IT governance process, ensuring IT investments are aligned with the organization's overall strategy and provide a strong return on investment.
  • Facilitate and participate in review sessions with HO governance committees around data, cybersecurity and architecture.
  • Proactive regular communications and status update to business stakeholders, IT teams and IT leadership

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA may be preferred.
  • Proven more than 10 years of experience in a similar role as a Business Partner, preferably in a large organization, where you have successfully bridged the gap between IT and business teams.
  • Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of business processes, operations, and strategic goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to identify and address complex business challenges through technology solutions.
  • Solid project management skills, with the ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and industry trends, and their potential applications in a business context.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills to align stakeholders and drive consensus on IT initiatives.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing changing priorities and expectations.
  • Knowledge/experience in the Shipping/logistics industry will be advantageous.
