Senior Trade Executive, Project Cargo

Summary:
Within the dedicated Project Cargo Division, you will ensure and manage the overall business development of special transportation projects for oversized and heavy lift cargoes across a particular group of lines and trades.


This position will develop and implement both commercial strategies and pricing policies to drive business growth for the Group. It seeks to work closely with all parties across the CMA CGM Group organisation, to facilitate the smooth handling of all project cargoes across the end-to-end process.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Project desk manager, and in close contacts with line management, you will plan and implement a trade and pricing policy for our oversized and heavy lift segment.
  • Carry out technical and operational studies on shipping project cargoes, working through quotations and provide commercial offer to customers.
  • Manage entire projects from beginning to end -from customer’s request through operational execution.
  • Monitor and drive effective coordination between various stakeholders : sales, vessel’s ops, port terminals, surveyors, customers, etc.
  • You will have the ownership of operational monitoring and coordination of cargo operations.
  • You will manage and provide support to the Agents' network with a view to help them promoting our service offerings and capabilities, by the way optimizing their performance and achieving their sales objectives.
  • Besides, you will follow up the development of the project cargo customer’s portfolio, participate in the negotiation of commercial offers with strategic customers.
  • As an expert of your area, you will also carry out and issue analytical reports and assess the impact of these evolutions on the Division and regularly report performance indicators to your manager including remedial actions.
  • Participate to the yearly budget & business plan.
  • You participate as a driving force, in the Division’s transformation and innovation projects and process.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum a Diploma Holder and/or Bachelor’s Degree with a background in Maritime, Business or any other relevant background of study 
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years working experience. Knowledge in trade pricing, ship operations and stowage planning would be an added advantage
  • Good knowledge of operational activities or project cargo experience and experience in Project management would be an asset.
  • Occasional travelling will be required.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel and other data analytical tools.
  • You are influential, very customer-oriented and have good interpersonal skills, which will enable you to succeed in your position and face new challenges within our Group.
