Trade Executive, Reefer

Summary:
As part of the Reefer team, you will be tasked to manage the Reefer pricing and customer contracting related matters for the assigned trade team as well as other supporting functions such as customer advisory on behalf of the Transpacific trade team, monitoring of regulatory filing issues and other Trade initiatives.

 

We are looking for a proactive and analytical individual who is process orientated with strong communication skills.
 
Main Responsibilities:
Contract (40%)

  • Co-ordinate and manage all contract updates / filling with contract management team.
  • Troubleshooting & communication with networks on contract performance.
  • Monitor & maintain space protection allocation / MQC for each contract.
  • Liaise or work with HO in order to set the best rate policy for contracts.

 
Network performance monitoring & pricing (40%)

  • Monitor & push for network performance against budget / target.
  • Manage pricing related matters (e.g., spot pricing, tariff filings, etc)
  • Setup & maintain rate guideline to HO & networks for CIF / SPOT market.
  • Drive continuous improvement in pricing process.
  • Participate in any pricing related projects (e.g., digital pricing transformation, etc)

 
Ad-hoc (20%)

  • Prepare customer advisory on behalf of the Transpacific Trade team (e.g., Network changes, etc)
  • Negotiate with sales on customer approach.
  • Reviewing of feeder network supporting Transpacific Trade team
  • Assist in various Trade initiatives and data analysis.

 
Minimum Requirements: 

  • Degree or above, discipline in maritime studies, logistic & supply chain would be preferred
  • Minimum with 1 – 2 years shipping experience, preferably in Operations, Customer Service, Logistics, Cargo Flow 
  • Reporting capability using various software (Excel, internal tools)
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Strong in planning and communication
  • Sense of anticipation, teamwork and pro-activity
