Trade Officer, Transpacific

Reporting to the Trade Manager, the successful candidate is responsible for overall commercial activities of your assigned service(s) from Asia with target to maximize revenue, liftings and profitability. You will be handling a group of Key Non-Vessels Operators (NVO) customers.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Provide prompt responses to pricing, bid, contract and rate enquiries for the assigned Key NVO customers, in accordance with strategic Transpacific trade objectives and KPI 
  • To monitor and track assigned Key NVO customers’ service contract performance against minimum volume commitment signed and to investigate and rectify any potential customer commitment shortfalls by coordinating and communicating closely with Asia agency
  • Full autonomy to direct and work closely with the assigned Key NVO account owners and customers on all Pricing matters to fully optimize vessel space to achieve optimum utilization.  
  • Responsible for all commercial activities with regards to customers 
  • Accountable for the directions, strategy and growth for the assigned key NVO. 
  • Evaluate and analyse profile of all Transpacific customer segmentation mix to determine a customer’s short, medium and long-term fit and strategy to achieve overall equipment and vessel optimization of Transpacific assets. 

 

Minimum Qualifications / Requirements

 

  • Fresh Graduate from Tertiary education or above, preferably in shipping, logistics management or business administration;
  • Around 2 years working experience in the maritime industry is ideal, but not mandatory
  • Good knowledge on container shipping / global trade
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office software, particularly with MS Words, Excel, etc.
  • Strong communication skills and customer oriented

 

This role is currently opened to Singaporean only.
