Treasury Manager

Job Title: Treasury Manager (Asia Pacific) 


Summary 
Reporting to the Head of Treasury (APAC), the Treasury Manager supports the APAC treasury requirements in three main areas – Financing (APAC corporate & asset financing deals), Cash Management (Working Capital & Cashflow strategy planning) and oversees Treasury projects and Treasury operation activities.  As a reliable and valued individual contributor, you can be depended upon both on the strategic planning for the cash management activities and supporting HO financing to manage APAC corporate and asset financing activities. 

 

As this role is a regional coverage, the incumbent is expected to collaborate with respective Head Office treasury/financing teams with the following responsibilities:

 

Responsibilities 
Financing  
•    Explore and support HO Financing Team new/existing financing opportunities, including responsibilities of negotiating (high level terms), documenting (all terms), executing (corp. authorizations/CPs) and maintaining (compliance/covenants) the debt portfolio (including BGs, RCFs, Vessel loans and bonds)
•    Coordinate with HO and RO internal stakeholders on related financing terms including tax, accounting, legal, insurance, compliance, operations, funding, chartering and ship management issues
•    Review, advise and execute hedging strategies to address FX and interest rate risks stemming from debt portfolio in coordination with HO Financing Team and HO Financial Markets Team
•    Supporting and maintaining Intercompany loan agreements (legacy & b2b w/ banks)
•    Develop new and maintain existing local and international bank relationships w/ financing partners in coordination with HO Financing Team
•    Reporting debt portfolio position, fixed deposits, intercompany loans to Head Office


Cash Management  
•    Ensure liquidity and funding requirements
•    Investigate Cash centralization improvement in APAC
•    Review and maintain cash management bank relationships (banking landscape, cashpooling structures)
•    Review APAC Financial Markets portfolio, dealing and proposing FX and interest rate derivatives (CCIRS/IRS) hedging strategies and investments into Fixed Deposits
•    Support systems and process implementations (SAPLISA / Kyriba), in connection with payment factory and TMS rollout

 

Adhoc
•    Bond repurchases, Vessel sales & purchases, hedging analysis, term Loan repayment analysis, other treasury topics

 

Requirements 
•    Masters/ Bachelors’ in Accounting, Banking & Finance 
•    8 to 10 years of Treasury experience, strong in corporate & asset financing (experience in the shipping or commodities industry would be a huge plus) , liquidity/cash management 
•    CPA qualified and ideally from a big 4 audit firm (huge plus but not necessary) 
•    Team player and able to function independently (minimal guidance)
