Port Operations Manager

Job summary

Core to the operations activites of the Company, you will manage the business of vessel operations, cargo opeartions, transhipment and 3rd party feeder.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintain a solid, qualified and experienced team and leadership
2.Ensure team's awareness of the group's and agency's strategies, appoachines,targets and instructions
3. Monitor performance and KPIs and work with the team on continuous development
4. Ensure alignment to Core model and Core processes and tools 
5. Colaborate with lines, Partners and agency commercial and ILS management and setup clear objectives and working procedures per service to achieve the most beneficial calls commercially, Operationally and Cost wise.
6. Focus and coach teams on the group's assests best productivity, Cargo loading priorities, Less dwell time, Operational cost reduction
7. Maintain good relationship with the management of Ports, Terminals, Partners, Stevedores, Husbandry agency, authorities and all stakeholdrs
8. Identify Local opportunities and communicate it with agency management teams, RO and HO
9. Forecast and report all major events to agency management teams, RO, Lines, OPS direction, all other stakeholders and prepare a mitigaion operational plan 
10.  Collaborate with Procurement in RO and HO for renewal of the contracts and SLAs and highlight the operational and financial requirements 
11. Identify cost saving ares for Intermodal and report the benefit
12. Develop Intermodal coverage and profitablility
