Purchasing Supervisor (CMA Ships, Hamburg)

Created on January 1st 2008, CMA Ships is a fully-owned subsidiary of CMA CGM with the objective to manage all fleet related operations.
CMA Ships is ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified and operates under various flags’ Documents of Compliance (DOC).

A team of more than 4,700 seafarers of all nationalities including more than 300 cadets are working at sea and ashore. It includes a Marine Human Resources Department to accompany the seafarers, a fleet management department with more than 40 superintendents ashore, a dedicated department supervising the ship-buildings, the development of IT systems and working on energy issues and innovation with engine experts, a dedicated Purchasing department, a specialized team to organize the vessel dry docks as well as a team of experts to run the Fleet Navigation and Support Center to monitor the CMA CGM fleet 24/24.

For the CMA Ships Germany entity in Hamburg we are recruiting a

 

Procurement Supervisor (m/f/d)
 

Reporting to the CMA Ships Germany Managing Director and HO Procurement Manager

you shall:

  • Comply with IMS and all relevant international rules and regulations.
  • Ensure all your duties in accordance with quality, health, safety, environmental and ethics policies.
  • Propose and implement continuous performance improvement plan which will be reported and reviewed on a periodical basis.
  • Local focal point for cross functional team
  • Ensure compliance with the purchasing process
  • Manage the technical supply of 4 vessels
  • Coordinate team of purchasing officers handling all orders of CMA Ships Germany vessels
  • Coordinate with group procurement any specific initiatives for supplies of CMA Ships Germany vessels
  • Ensure the timely ordering of the day-to-day requisitions.
  • Obtain SI approval for quotation and offers received to place order
  • Ensure delivery on board through logistic chain from the supplier to the vessel.
  • Apply the best practice defined by the group procurement.
  • Report any specific vessel requirement.
  • Follow the KPIs ;

 

Minimum qualifications

  • License degree in procurement / international trade

 

Experience

  • 2+ years in technical procurement/ supply chain  preferred;
  • Knowledge in Shipmanagement;
  • MS Office

  • Effective verbal, written and presentation skills;
  • Basic technical knowledge of vessels;
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-based environment;
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible to change priorities;
