Fleet Upgrade Project Control Manager

THE ROLE

 

Complying with IMS and all relevant international rules and regulations, ensuring all your duties are in accordance with quality, health, safety, environment, and ethics policies, the Fleet Upgrade Project Control Manager is the main point of contact regarding vessel’s stoppage.

 


RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Monitoring budgets creation until validation, managing all aspects of project implementation, including resources, finances, time frames, and quality control
  • Coordinating with other departments and functions to ensure that all project activities are properly integrated, communicating among project stakeholders to ensure that everyone is aware of current project status
  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive risk management plan for projects that may involve hazardous materials or processes
  • Leading project controls team members, ensuring project is staffed appropriately, conducting regular staff performance reviews and managing any staffing issues that may arise
  • Analysing data to determine project performance and make adjustments as needed, preparing status reports for top management regarding project progress or problems with implementation
  • Identifying and communicating design changes, scope changes and schedule slippages and potential impacts
  • Participating in the identification of mitigations. Managing change management process and suggest corrective actions
  • Launching and driving improvement plans and initiatives to develop new processes and tool
  • Training junior staff members on project control best practices
  • Participating in project reviews and audits as required.

 

 

PROFILE & COMPETENCIES

 

  • Graduated from an Engineering or Master's Degree
  • 5 years' experience on a PMO or Project Manager position
  • Experience with cost control including project estimating, forecasting and cost management including reporting
  • Understanding of accounting functions and systems
  • Fluent in English, French is a plus
  • Competent with various software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Leadership ability, strong management and analytical skills, proper communication both verbal and written.
