Guarantee claims engineer

THE ROLE

As a Guarantee Claims Engineer you shall:

Comply with IMS and all relevant international rules and regulations
Ensure all your duties in accordance with quality, health, safety, environmental and ethics policies
Propose a continuous performance improvement plan which will be reported and reviewed on a periodical basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Claim follow-up:

Collect the warranty claims issued by the vessels under warranty and check if they are in line with the design approved during the construction
Issue Claim to the shipyard and follow up corrective actions in a timely manner
Keep the Newbuilding director, Fleet director, Fleet Manager and vessel superintendent advised of problems which arise on managed ships, and solve them, including issues related to speed and consumption, operational performance
Organize End of warranty meetings and conduct final negotiation under Newbuilding director supervision.

2. Vessels under warranty feedbacks:

Transfer all design (possible common) claims to sisterships and arrange a common warranty solution
Provide feedbacks to NB department and participate in REX procedure.

PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Graduated from a naval or engineering school
An experience onboard is interesting for this position, you have adequate knowledge of the vessel and vessel systems
Competent with various software, such as word, excel, power point, etc.
Analytical skills, rigor and method
Effective verbal, written and presentation skills
Ability to work both independently and in a team-based environment
Demonstrated willingness to be flexible to change priorities
Strong multi-tasking, management and organizational skills
