THE ROLE :
Working in our Newbuilding entity, you are responsible of managing the construction projects of several vessels.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
You shall:
- Comply with IMS and all relevant international rules and regulations
- Ensure all your duties in accordance with quality, health, safety, environmental and ethics policies
- Propose a continuous performance improvement plan which will be reported and reviewed on a periodical basis
- Issue comment on drawings for approval in accordance with shipbuilding contract
- Seek for assistance or experts’ opinions for specific drawings
- Follow up:
- drawing approval and work progress for your project
- extra and credit, specification deviations.
- Provide Pre-delivery purchaser with necessary information to draw the list of initial stores and spare parts
- Manage vessel’s delivery
- Ensure specifications approval
- Train New Building Superintendents.
PROFILE & COMPETENCIES :
- You are an engineer graduate with a specialisation in naval architecture
- You have at least 5 years experience in Naval Architecture and/or Newbuilding projects, with technical knowledge of vessel design
- Fluency in English and professional proficiency in French
- Good project management and analytical skills, flexible, results-oriented
- Effective verbal, written and presentation skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-based environment
- Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
