IT / OT System Engineer

Summary:
Reporting to the IT/OT System Integration Lead, you will be responsible for the development of the technical specification and support of the Operational Technology (OT) system implementation on existing vessels and newbuilds as part of the organization’s Digitalization Roadmap. You are to ensure that the integration of shipboard IT and OT systems stay compliant with regulatory and cyber security requirements for the delivery of digitalization solutions onboard CMA CGM vessels.
Your main responsibilities are, but not limited to:
- Develop technical specification and schematic drawings for the OT systems integrated into the shipboard network as part of the organization’s digitalization project roadmap
- Coordinate IT and OT project activities to ensure timely delivery and adherence to project timelines
- Provide onboard and remote support maintenance for the OT systems and network architecture onboard
- Analyse IT/OT design and implementation issues that affect delivery of project deliverables and to propose/implement short-term and long-term solutions
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation (e.g. IT / OT Inventory Asset Register) for IT and OT systems, including network drawing, user manuals, and operating procedures.
- Provide support to the implementation of IT/OT Governance Procedures through the participation of:
- vessel New Buildings’ plan approval process for OT systems and network architecture design
- evaluation and risk assessment process of new OT systems introduced in the shipboard network
- System Integration Test (SIT) / User Acceptance Test (UAT) of CMA Ships OT systems
- review process of VLAN and firewall configuration with the vendors and makers
- Provide support to the implementation of Cyber Security projects across CMA CGM vessels with the aim to align with the corporate standards and regulatory requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 3 to 5 years of working experience in maritime IT, in one or more of the following domains (e.g. shipboard IT and OT systems - engine automation, navigation, trim/fuel/route optimization, cybersecurity, incident handling, investigation)
- Good level of knowledge and hands-on experience in network designs and troubleshooting for vessels
- Occasional ship-boarding for site surveys and onsite system troubleshooting will be required.
- Tertiary qualification in IT networking qualification and Marine Engineering or equivalent.
- Professional accreditation such as CCNP, NSE 6.0 and above will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge in cyber security best practices is highly preferred.
