Logisitcs Executive

CMA Ships, a subsidiary of the CMA CGM Group, covers all facets of the maritime business: from the fleet management of the vessels to that of the crew members.
CMA Ships is also a team of experts responsible for implementing innovative solutions and making CMA CGM vessels more energy efficient.

Summary
In this role, you will report to the Procurement Manager and be responsible for providing logistical support while ensuring the integrity of the logistics chain. This includes researching and recommending cost-effective solutions. In addition to logistics, you will also manage KPIs and serve as the system administrator, ensuring smooth and efficient operation

We are looking for a team player with good interpersonal and organizational skills.

Your main responsibilities are but not limited to:

• Oversee the logistics requirements of assigned vessels and third-party logistics partners, ensuring service levels meet CMA Ships standards
• Manage logistics costs and delivery lead times to ensure cost-effective and efficient logistics solutions
• Ensure timely delivery to the vessel through the logistics chain, from the forwarder to the vessel, while accurately tracking shipment status and providing regular updates.
• Request quotation for logistics spot rates and select the most optimal outcome
• Manage and process invoices from forwarders
• Follow up with stakeholders to resolve any shipment discrepancies
• Contribute to data collection for monthly logistics report, analyze logistics data, and recommend improvements to optimize the logistics chain

 
To excel in this role, you should possess good analytical skills, communication skills and the ability to work independently.

Minimum Requirements:

• Degree in Supply Chain Management or relevant experience
• 0 to 2 years' experience in supply chain experience
• Knowledge on main conveyance modes, warehousing, custom clearance and incoterms
• Proficient with MS Office Suite i.e. vlookup, pivot table and formulas
