Pricing Analyst, Intra-Asia

Role Overview
Reporting to the Deputy Line Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall commercial activities of the assigned service(s) within the intra-Asia market. Working closely with the team, you will drive revenue optimisation initiatives and support efforts to improve overall profitability.
To succeed in this role, you should possess strong analytical capabilities, effective communication skills, and the ability to interpret market trends and commercial data to support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Pricing/Trade Management
- Provide timely responses to clients on pricing, bid, contract, and rate-related enquiries.
- Analyse, evaluate, and process pricing, bid, contract, and rate requests for export shipments within the intra-Asia region, including maintenance of rate tariff guidelines and related data.
- Collate market feedback, conduct data analysis, and support the development and implementation of pricing strategies and policies.
- Monitor market supply and demand trends closely and adjust pricing policies in response to changing market conditions.
- Ensure all contracts and rate filings are implemented accurately and executed in compliance with contractual terms, while maintaining consistency across internal systems..
Monitoring & Data Analysis
- Monitor and analyse vessel performance to support operational efficiency and commercial objectives.
- Closely track country lifting performance, including customer profiling, to ensure optimal utilisation of weekly vessel allocations.
- Monitor overall vessel utilisation and provide guidance to frontline offices in achieving the ideal cargo mix.
- Prepare reports, conduct market research and analysis, and perform other duties as assigned by Management.
External Business Stakeholders Management
- Proactively engage with external stakeholders on rate enquiries, tender submissions, market practices, and other commercial matters.
- Manage and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, frontline offices, conference representatives, and customers through regular communication and engagement activities.
What We’re Looking For
- Diploma or degree in business, maritime / logistic or supply chain related studies
- 0 to 2 years of working experience in related industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (specifically with vlookup, pivot table & etc.) is preferred
- Knowledge of the logistics/supply chain industry is an advantage
