Land Controlling Manager

For the Containerships head office in Hamburg we are recruiting a Land Controlling Manager (m/f/d).

 

The purpose of the role is to create detailed analysis for the Landside department. The Land Controlling Manager's findings help the business identify opportunities, detect problems and create solutions.
 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Provide reporting to the Chief Land Officer and his deputy
  • Coordinate reporting processes with local Land heads within our European network 
  • Ensure KPI monitoring for the Landside department from a Head Office perspective
  • Conduct shipping line haulage (HAU) profit center analysis
  • Coordinate financial reporting (consolidation / group reporting) of the Containerships land entities
  • Analyse the operative result of all land entities
  • Coordinate the update of Land Tariffs
     

You bring aboard:

  • Educated to degree level (Master) in Finance / Economics or other relevant studies
  • +5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the transport industry
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Strong analytical skills and conceptional thinking
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office applications
  • Understanding of cost accounting
  • Highly numerate with experience of presenting complex data at a senior level
  • Ability to work on own initiative and under pressure
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships across all levels
