YOUR ROLE
Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will assist in managing a dynamic and high-profile vehicle delivery and collection service. This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of the entire order and movement fulfillment cycle.
As a Driver Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a team ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the fleet and implementing best practices for safety, efficiency, and customer service. You will work closely with dispatchers, operations managers, and other key stakeholders to meet service goals and optimise route planning and driver performance.
This is a Monday – Friday role working 8am – 5pm.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Manage, supervise and support a team of drivers to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
- Oversee a team of planners to ensure the schedules and assigned routes are designed in the most efficient and cost controlled manner.
- Monitor driver performance, compliance with safety regulations, and adherence to company policies.
- Provide training and development opportunities for drivers to improve performance and enhance safety awareness.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback and coaching as necessary.
- Address and resolve issues, complaints, and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of driver activities, including routes, schedules, and compliance with regulations.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience as a Driver Manager or Fleet Manager, with a solid understanding of driver regulations and industry standards. You will possess outstanding communication, leadership and interpersonal abilities. Additionally, you should be adept at resolving issues swiftly and efficiently, with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction and operational effectiveness.
