YOUR ROLE
Our operation in Aberdeen has an exciting opportunity for an Operations Coordinator to join the team. In this role you will take responsibility for ensuring the smooth and efficient daily running of imports & exports.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Reporting into Operations Supervisor you will be providing customer service and operational excellence solutions highlighting critical problems to management. Your daily tasks will be to:
- Coordinate daily multi modal operations and ensure they are aligned with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure invoices are correctly billed and completed and costs accrued within departmental KPIs.
- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and third-party service providers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Ensure ongoing and consistent client satisfaction through effective and efficient responses to enquiries, issues, and problems.
- Build relationships with freight carriers and maintain rate tariffs.
- Ensure timely invoicing, posting, and accurate accruals.
- Manage and maintain relevant systems and documentation ensuring files are invoiced accurately, records are updated, and all transaction adhere to company regulations.
- Liaise with CEVA overseas offices with various related issues.
- Check and approve of vendors invoicing.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in customer service or pricing within freight forwarding. You will be a strong communicator with high levels of attention to detail and be able develop and maintain close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will have strong organisational & time management skills and ability to make formal presentations. Due to the fast-paced environment prioritisation ability is essential, you will have a strong supportive team around you but will also need to be confident working alone.
