YOUR ROLE


As the Team Leader for our 3PL warehouse facility at Hazelmere WA, you will coordinate the day-to-day operational activities of the site and team; and help ensure that we meet customer expectations, whilst maintaining a compliant and safe environment.


WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?


Specifically, you will:
 

 

  • Receiving goods from inbound shipments to be distributed to manufacturers/retail stores as well as individual customers
  • Perform various cross-docking and transit-style activities
  • Be accountable for maintaining daily checklists, material handling equipment and PPE
  • Perform accurate check-in / check-out counts, cycle counts, container loading / unloading, pick / pack
  • Prepare freight with all appropriate paperwork ready for handover and delivery, including weighing and cubing functions
  • Help ensure work instructions, risk assessments and safe work practices are understood and followed; including hazard reporting
  • Report service failures to the Warehouse Manager and initiate corrective action where appropriate.


WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 


Our ideal candidate has experience to a supervisory level in warehouse operations (or ready to step-up), a current forklift licence, as well as:
 

  • Strong safety awareness and committed to safe work practices
  • Good customer and communication skills; ability to read, understand and interpret standard documents (e.g. safety, SOPs)
  • Ability to apply basic mathematics (add, subtract, multiply, divide) and calculate basic percentages, ratios, fractions and volumes.


In addition to providing proof of work rights and professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undergo a medical assessment and national police check.
