YOUR ROLE

 

Responsible for providing operational ownership of account(s) at a management level with supporting staff to focus on customer requirements and operational performance. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.

 

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

  • Manage the overall execution of accounts at an operations management level, carrying out specific requirements as documented in the customer SOP.
  • SOP ownership, maintenance and ensuring operational best practices in line with customer requirements.
  • Work with CEVA B2B and IS&S Support teams and GTN to troubleshoot, and provide business support for resolution to any systems issue.
  • Maintain essential account documentation with up to date information and ensure that it is collated and stored, readily accessible to all team members.
  • Drive operational excellence and improvement with Ocean + origin and all customer/vendor partners through regularly scheduled reviews.
  • Audit system for accuracy and completeness of data and information based on booking, receiving and on-hand reports created in GT Nexus by origin operations.
  • Management of Ocean+ origin staff where applicable to ensure completion of SOP compliance, scheduled tasks and responsibilities key to account operations.
  • Key contact point of contact for Customer logistics and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain in depth knowledge of customer’s business and associated supply chain requirements.
  • Ensure that account billing both internal and customer facing is carried out in a timely, accurate, and complete manner.
  • Implement solutions to address and correct identified issues pro-actively. Provide root cause analysis, drive continuous improvements and execution of solutions.
  • Prepare performance data for monthly reporting requirements and QBR meetings.
  • Act as an escalation point for customer for any issues and drive resolution/corrective action.
  • Review weekly utilization/optimization reports to ensure origin teams are meeting expectations.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Well-developed analytic skills. Well-organized, self-starter and highly detail oriented.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and both written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced level expertise with Microsoft Excel, Access and Visio.
  • Demonstrable project management experience.
  • Ability to represent the function effectively in dealings with internal customers and vendors.

Minimum:

  • BA/BS in business, finance, or MIS – SC management or logistics.
  • 8-10 years’ strong working knowledge of international transportation & logistics.
  • Experience with process mapping, definition and documentation (via projects, etc.)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of transportation modes, tariffs, and systems.
  • Preferred:
  • 8-10 years’ strong working knowledge of international transportation & logistics, preferably in Ocean freight.
  • Six Sigma quality process training.
  • Strong understanding of china custom export and import regulations.
