YOUR ROLE

For our Medical Device campus in Heerlen we are looking for an ESH Coordinator. ESH stands for environment, safety & health. That is exactly what your focus is on. As an ESH Coordinator you are responsible for a safe and healthy workplace. You ensure that the legal protocols are implemented, registered and checked. You monitor the standards and requirements and report any deviations. In this you discover – with your passion for optimizing processes – new patterns and trends. You analyze these, advise management and start an improvement project. Of course you ensure that these deviations do not occur again in the future!

In this position you are part of the Operations Excellence team in Area South. You will join a young and dynamic team. Your direct manager is the ESH (safety, environment & health) & LEAN Lead. Together with your colleague you try to achieve the safest and most optimal logistics service! In this role you are also part of the local site management team. Your location will be our campus in Heerlen.

WHAT WILL YOU DO? As ESH Coordinator you will:

• Coordinate, monitor and evaluate the ESH policy;

• Ensure the necessary certifications;

• Develop, maintain and monitor quality instruments and standards;

• Manage documents, work instructions and procedures in accordance with applicable quality standards;

• Perform (physical) checks and internal audits and supervise external audits;

• Analyse incidents;

• Provide internal EHS training.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You bring the following knowledge and experience:

• A higher professional education diploma, preferably in the field of integral safety, safety science or technical business administration;

• A positive critical view with a focus on improvement;

• At least one year of experience in logistics or supply chain;

• Experience with project-based work and project approach;

• Extensive experience with Microsoft Office;

• Knowledge of and experience with lean methodologies;

• Preferably already experience in working with hazardous substances;

• Good communication skills in Dutch and English.

• A market-conform salary between € 3,330 and € 4,629 depending on your work experience and education level;

• A one-year contract with the prospect of permanent employment;
