Lead Supply Chain Planner | Rosedale AKL

YOUR ROLE


As a Lead Supply Chain Planner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and optimising the supply chain planning for the clients serviced. Your focus will be on day-to-day portfolio demand planning, roadmap planning & delivery, process improvement, and team leadership. You will ensure that the Advanced Lifecycle Planning Services (ALPS) provided are utilised to their full potential and that the client sees the value and benefits arising from this work.


WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?


Specifically, you will:

 

  • Lead the client portfolio demand planning using best-in-class tools (BlueYonder, Business Intelligence) and best-in-class Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes. Ensure master data is managed at regular cadence and improvements suggested
  • Lead and manage the collaborative S&OP meetings (Demand Review, DSB, CPFR, etc.) and ensure value add to clients
  • Develop and implement a supply chain maturity roadmap and change management strategy with the client stakeholders
  • Assess end-to-end inventory and optimise stock demands based on current and future business strategy
  • Analyse data from all available sources to identify bottlenecks and other issues
  • Evaluate and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for ALPS. Set baselines yearly and ensure they are tracked and reported via regular governance sessions
  • Delegate, coach, and lead the team of planners and build talent within the supply chain team, establishing and spreading standardised best practices
  • Anticipate market trends for optimal timing of inventory purchases
  • Manage the risk and succession planning for the team
  • Support the logistics team with day-to-day tasks (inwards & production planning) and innovation to ensure seamless client experience.


WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 


Our ideal candidate is tertiary qualified in logistics and supply chain or a related field, with experience gained in a sales/operations planning environment together with:

 

  • Advanced skills in Excel and database modelling (experience with demand planning systems and ERP systems a bonus)
  • Proven ability to develop, manage, and improve processes and systems for enhanced operational efficiency
  • Excellent verbal and written communicator, capable of building partnerships, gaining commitment, and facilitating change with stakeholders
  • Strong fact-based decision-making skills with a strategic mindset, adaptability, and a willingness to take calculated risks to drive innovation
  • Experience in managing and developing people
  • Thorough understanding of markets, product life cycle management, and product category management.


In addition to providing proof of work rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undergo a medical assessment and national police check.
