YOUR ROLE

 

This role ensures Countries wide compliance to QHSE Standards (ISO 9001, GDP, ISO 14001, ISO 13485 and ISO45001) and that CEVA Certifications are kept as per Global Governance and ensure the local regulations and international standards. The QHSE Coordinator is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental systems across CCIS and CEVA Mozambique operations. The role supports compliance with corporate requirements, local legislation, ISO standards, and client expectations. This position ensures safe operations, high-quality service delivery, and strong environmental stewardship across all sites, warehouses, transport, and inspection activities.

 

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

A. Quality Management

  • Implement and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits (certification, client audits, regulatory inspections).
  • Track nonconformities, corrective actions, and preventive actions through established QMS platforms.
  • Ensure documentation control, standard operating procedures, and work instructions are updated and communicated.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across operations

 

B. Health & Safety Management

  • Implement CEVA/CCIS QHSE policies, standards, and safe operating procedures across all sites.
  • Conduct risk assessments (Task-Based, Job Safety Analyses, Hazard Identification).
  • Lead incident reporting, investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action closure.
  • Monitor contractor compliance with HSE requirements.
  • Ensure availability and proper use of PPE, safety equipment, emergency response gear, and signage.
  • Coordinate safety inspections, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.

 

C. Environmental Management

  • Support environmental compliance in line with ISO 14001.
  • Monitor waste management, emissions, spills, and environmental risks.
  • Promote environmental awareness and sustainability initiatives.
  • Ensure environmental incident reporting and follow-up actions.

 

D. Operational Support

  • Provide QHSE support to transport operations, warehousing, logistics services, and inspection activities.
  • Participate in onboarding of new employees and contractors through HSE and Quality inductions.
  • Support client-specific compliance requirements (HSSE bridging, service quality requirements, KPIs).
  • Ensure QHSE requirements are integrated into operational planning.

 

E. Training & Communication

  • Conduct training on QHSE procedures, risk management, emergency response, and SOPs.
  • Ensure safety alerts, lessons learned, and QHSE communications are effectively disseminated.
  • Promote a strong QHSE culture and employee engagement.

 

F. Reporting & Monitoring

  • Maintain QHSE dashboards, KPIs, and monthly performance reports.
  • Prepare incident statistics, trends analysis, and improvement recommendations.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance registers (legal, operational, environmental).
