YOUR ROLE
Are you experienced in transport and logistics, with a strong grasp of people management and compliance? As a Fleet Supervisor within CEVA’s Ground Transport team, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring smooth and timely delivery operations across local and regional PUD fleets. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day planning and coordination of CEVA’s local drivers and subcontracted fleet, overseeing safety, compliance, and efficiency to deliver exceptional service to our customers.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Specifically, you will:
- Plan, manifest, and oversee freight delivery to meet delivery in full, on-time (DIFOT) targets, managing costs effectively
- Provide daily support, guidance, and training to the Fleet Control team and directly manage a fleet of local drivers
- Ensure all fleet operations comply with statutory requirements, including driver fatigue and load restraint standards
- Investigate and resolve service and operational issues promptly. Complete Transport Management System (TMS) processes accurately and within deadlines
- Work closely with depot supervisors, fleet controllers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth operations, effective loading, and high-quality service delivery.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Our ideal candidate has solid experience in transport and logistics, including experience supervising transport drivers. You should also have:
- Proven track record in team leadership, particularly with a focus on coaching and supporting a fleet control team
- In-depth knowledge of Australian transport regulations and compliance standards
- Proficiency in Transport Management Systems (TMS) and intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members and various levels of the organisation.
In addition to providing proof of work rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undergo a medical assessment and national police check.
